I don’t ship any of the characters I’ve asked for, that doesn’t mean I don’t want them to have relationships, it’s more I’m not so interested in that part of their lives, and I’m not really invested in any one partnership for any of these fandoms. A well-placed sex scene with lots of characterisation can be excellent, but I’m not so bothered about PWP (or PW-Charactisation - You know, characters who are portrayed as generic robots with name-stickers on (which maybe a little ironic considering I’ve asked for Westworld, but you know what I mean)). I suppose it goes back to the like of characters staying in-character.

Char: Goosefat Bill

Arthur & Goosefat Bill

 

My favourite character is Goosefat Bill. I don’t ship him with anyone, although I quite like the idea of him and Maggie, and the only / I don’t like is him and Bedivere, as they seem to be good friends more than anything more.

 

There is so much that can be scary and spooky in this film, giant monsters from the Darklands, or even giant monsters in general, the 3 creepy octopus women (sirens?) who seem to live under Camelot, the Sword itself, the history of the Mages, any other Mages, the whole place seems to be steeped in superstition as well. Weird rituals, strange sacrifices. 

Other things I’ve wondered about, that could be used for Halloween-

What was the personal cost to Bill for not cosying up to Vortigen, especially as Vortigen had access to magical powers?

How about something post-film film with Arthur and Bill in the Darklands fighting giant monsters?

(I’ve only watched S1 and S2 as they killed almost all their characters off, so nothing after that.  By all accounts S3 was a bit dull. I might watch S4, but I thought the end of S2 would have been a great place to leave the show, with them opening the door to go out into the “real” world.). 

And my DWN of "no excessive gore" and "no graphic descriptions of rape" might seem incompatible with "Canon typical violence" as this *is* Westworld, especially since the hosts have no choice but to enjoy sex with humans, and can't refuse to do anything. There's a grey area in there, so if in doubt, ask the Mods to ask.

I don't ship Teddy with anyone, and I'm not averse to him / with anyone, although I found him and Dolores a bit dull. Him and Wyatt is interesting, a is him and The Man in Black. Probably any form of relationship Teddy has with either of them is bound to be more than a little bit twisted.

This is another show ripe for Halloween, especially the more “ghost in the machine” consciousness side of his character. 

He’s been patched up and reset more than any other Host, because being the Good Guy, he died the most. How does that affect him?

Would there be a Halloween type tradition around Sweetwater, one that the Hosts thought up themselves, or one that their programmers put tin there? Urban legends? What else could be hidden in their code?

My favourite character is Mandrake. I’d prefer &s rather than /s but maybe the poor guy needs a bit of fun as well. But I’d prefer no Mandrake/Jedda.

 

The canon-typical violence here can be stretched upwards a little, as it was a kids cartoon in the 80s and maybe needs a bit of updating. 

And it’s probably a bit mean to say no K’shin or Zuffy, but they are just so annoying (in that 80s cartoon sidekick kind of way)! If you could find them something wholesome to do “off camera” that would be fantastic!

 

 

It might be more fun to do a more ensemble thing for Halloween. 

Is Mandrake’s mansion haunted?

What Halloween traditions might the Defenders have developed over the years?

What if Ming used Halloween to trick or treat Central City, in a bad way?

Mandrake is master of illusion, so what about that going wrong for Halloween?

And what are the limits to his power? What would he do if it all went horribly wrong? Would he turn “Strange-Supreme” and go on a rampage to set it right? How far would he really go?

Basically, anything as there is so little in this fandom that anything about these two mages, or their world, would be amazing.

It’s also one long Halloween-themed games with lots of weird monsters running amok.
